Branches Bearing Fruit

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." John 15:1-4

Difficulty Seeing God's Will

Trusting in the Lord is incredibly difficult when you are going through a trial.

It always seems that the worse the storm is, the more difficult it is to keep our eyes upon Christ.

We are in desperate need of prayer right now. A month ago, Jon heard that he might lose his secular job due to a misunderstanding. I am not able to explain the various issues involved, but it is to the extreme that we have had to hire a lawyer to correct the misunderstanding, sell one of our cars to pay for the lawyer, I am going to have to go back to work, and Jon's last day of employment is today and there is no sign of another job to pay our bills in the works for him. Our son has type 1 diabetes, so we NEED health insurance to cover his insulin and doctor visits.

I know that God is watching over us and has something better in store for us, but it is so hard to remember that when I have been hoping and praying throughout this crisis that the storm would pass quickly. The longer it takes for the storm to pass, the more anxious I become.

But the Bible tells us to be anxious for NOTHING and to trust our Father to care for us. Jesus says that we should not worry about food nor drink nor clothes to wear.

God will provide for us and we WILL weather this storm. Please pray for it to pass us more quickly though.

God bless
