Branches Bearing Fruit

"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." John 15:1-4

Evacuees from Lebanon

There are supposed to be five flights coming into BWI tonight from Lebanon filled with evacuees. The MD Defense Forces Chaplain Corps will be doing what they can to help them find lodging, give comfort, counsel, etc tonight. Please pray for both the evacuees and those who will be spending tonight giving them what support they can.

Psalm 4:8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 29:11 The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace.

Psalm 122:6-8 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
"May those who love you be secure.
May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels."
For the sake of my brothers and friends,
I will say, "Peace be within you."

Romans 15:13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Amen

I have noticed...

I have noticed from my handy dandy stat counter that people are coming to my blog based upon the name and they are looking to find out what 'bearing fruit' means...

Simply put, 'fruit' is work that you do. Good fruit is work that glorifies God. Bad fruit glorifies ourselves.

Some previous blogs I have written on fruit bearing are No Real Title, Just a Chat, Branching Out, Omnipotent, Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Come and I Will Make You Fishers of Men. Since no one ever goes looking through the blog, I figured that I would just plop it in here. My opinions haven't changed since writing them...lol

God bless you all and may you bear good fruit for our Lord.
